Dosing RSO Edibles: How Much Is in a Brownie?
RSO is incredibly potent, and a little goes a long way. Whether you're baking for wellness, pain relief, daily support, or fun, understanding your dose per serving helps you feel better.
Here’s how to determine dosing when using RSO in our “Baked” Peanut Butter Swirl Brownie recipe — featuring our balanced 1:1 RSO, batch UID 04437. The full recipe can be found at the bottom of the page.
Step 1: Know Your RSO Potency
This batch of Siskiyou 1:1 RSO (UID 04437) contains:
- 345 mg/g THC
- 321.2 mg/g CBD
Step 2: Decide on Total Potency and Add RSO to the Recipe
Each 1ml dispenser of RSO is approximately 1 gram. If you use a full dispenser, your full tray of brownies will have a total of:
- 345 mg THC
- 321.2 mg CBD
If you prefer a lower dose, you can use half or even a quarter of the dispenser. If you want a higher dose, eat the entire batch of brownies. You earned it.
This Peanut Butter Brownie recipe uses 1/2 cup oil. Mix your measured RSO into this oil by gently heating to 150–200°F and stirring until fully blended. Then proceed with the recipe as usual.
Step 3: Slice It Right
Once your brownies are out of the oven and have had a chance to cool, you can decide on how large you want your slices to be.
To calculate your serving size, divide your total added cannabinoids by the number of slices you’re going to cut. If you used the entire 1 mL (1g) of RSO in your brownie batch, here’s the dosing breakdown by number of servings:
If you want lower potency brownies, here are the calculations for using half a dispenser (0.5 grams), or a quarter of a dispenser (0.25 grams):
Tips for Dosing Edibles:
- Start low, go slow: Try 1/4 or 1/2 of a brownie first if unsure.
- Label your edibles clearly, especially if stored with non-infused treats.
- Write down your recipe, how much RSO you used, and how it affected you.

“I used 1 mL of batch #04437 (345 mg THC / 321 mg CBD) in a batch of 16 brownies. That’s about 22 mg THC + 20 mg CBD per brownie — a good medium dose for evening use.”

“Get Baked” Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies
Ingredients:
1/2 cup oil (infused with RSO, see note)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup peanut butter, melted for swirling
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment or lightly grease.
Mix oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl.
Stir in cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
Pour batter into pan and spread evenly.
Drizzle melted peanut butter over the top and swirl gently with a knife.
Bake 20–25 minutes or until set in the center.
Cool, slice, and store in a sealed container.
Note:
To infuse the oil, gently warm it (150–200°F) and stir in your measured RSO. Mix well before adding to batter. Dose carefully and label clearly.
